Giftronaut Glossary

Key terms you'll encounter across the Giftronaut API and dashboard.

Term	What it is
Order	A single request to send one or more gift cards to a recipient. Orders can be placed immediately or scheduled for a future date.
Recipient	The individual who receives a gift card. Each recipient has a name and email address, and can be saved to your address book for reuse.
Choice Card	A reward that lets recipients pick their own gift card from a curated selection available in 91+ countries. Use this when you want to give recipients flexibility over how they redeem their reward.
Branded Card	A reward that delivers a specific brand's gift card directly to the recipient — no selection required. Use this when you want to send a particular brand (e.g. Starbucks, Amazon).
Catalog	The full list of gift card products available to send via Giftronaut. You can browse the catalog to find product IDs, supported countries, and denomination ranges.
Email Template	A reusable email template for customizing reward emails, including the sender name, subject line, message body, and brand logo. Use a custom template to create a branded recipient experience.

Putting it into practice

Scenario 1. You want to send a $10 Starbucks gift card to a customer who completed a survey. Pick a Branded Card, set the amount, add their email — done.

Scenario 2. You want to reward a team of 50 people, but aren't sure which brand works best for everyone. Use a Choice Card — each person picks the brand that suits them.
